Welcome to Pack 758 and the fun world of scouting, the best program for boys in kindergarten through 5th grade and their family!
Where and When Do We Meet? Pack 758 holds a monthly Pack Meeting on the 4th Sunday at 1pm at various locations around Nagoya. Dens usually meet on the 2nd Sunday at 1pm at Nagoya International School in Moriyama-ku. This may be an indoor meeting or an outdoor activity.
How Do I Find Out What’s Going On? Contact us using the form on the Contact link at the top of this page. We are constantly updating our information and schedules. We also have a closed Facebook page for members to share information and photos.
What Kind of Activities Do You Do? Pack 758 enjoys a variety of activities including hiking, campouts, field trips to dig for fossils, community service, and more!
Where Will My Son Fit In? When your son joins our Pack of kindergarteners through 5th graders, he will be assigned to a smaller Den of up to about 8 boys at the same grade level, ideally with friends he already knows. The Dens are led by a parent, but Scouting also gives the boys responsibility and leadership opportunities.
What Does My Son Need? A desire to do fun and cool stuff, a uniform, and a smile!
What Should I Do With His Younger/Older Brother/Sister? Bring them along! Cub Scouting is a very family-oriented program. We encourage siblings, Moms, grandparents... anyone in the family who wants to join in the fun! Very few events are Scout-only, and we’ll make it clear which ones are which.
What Does It Cost? Pack 758 tries to keep costs to a minimum, and soon the scouts will be working on fundraisers (bake sales, etc.) to help achieve their goals. See current Far East Council unit costs here (see section 4 for Fees). There is also an annual local Pack dues.
How Can We Sign Up? When you are ready to join the fun, please contact us for more information on how to get started. Scouts require an online Youth Application, and Adults must complete an Adult Application (online if you have a SSN, or on paper if you don't have a SSN) and Youth Protection Training. Pack 758 asks all adults to please participate in a leadership or committee role. Click here to go to the Far East Council Membership page. Or click here for our Forms page.
Whom Should I Contact? Please always feel free to email our Cubmaster or Membership Chair at any time. Use the Contact form link at the upper corner of this page, or email <[email protected]>
Membership Fees / Monthly Dues BSA Pack #758 has three membership fees: 1) Youth Boy Scouts of America Annual fees These fees are paid once a year in $US, and are calculated to reflect current exchange rates. The fees cover BSA and Far East Council membership, insurance, BSA facility (Camp Tama, Camp Ikego, and others) maintenance, and keeping BSA running smoothly to support all packs in the US and overseas. 2) Adult Boy Scouts of America Annual fees These fees are paid once a year in $US, and are calculated to reflect current exchange rates. BSA Pack #758 requests that one parent from each family join the pack as an Adult member to ensure 2-deep leadership at all scout events.
